Getting up to Mischief…

I’d been wanting to try creating a game for a club for a while, and so after a New Year’s Eve visit to check out the Boom Boom/ White Mischief Party which included a mini-diesel punk adventure, I was thrilled when Tobias who runs White Mischief handed us the stairwells at La Scala to  run a narrative game that would sit within the usual WM Steam Punk Mayhem…

Working with Black Lab and Firecat Masquerade we put together all manner of complexity, including voting systems, puppets, stilts, multiple sub plots and more. In practice, the clubgoers were fascinated by the installation/happening elements and not particularly swept up by the story or the game. Great fun though. The picture shows Boris (the orange one) and Conrad (in blond).
